WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF TRAILBIKE RIDING

If you ride motorcycles, you already know the amazing feeling of freedom you feel as you ride along deserted 'B' roads, but you may not know that there is nothing like the feeling of riding along off-road tracks and trails. You get to see the countryside from a completely new perspective and improve your road riding skills to boot.

We have set this website up to give the road going motorcyclist and those with some off-road experience a helpful guide in to getting your tyres dirty at an off-road school, along the byways of Great Britain or a little further afield in southern Spain. There is so much more out there than you might imagine - it's all great fun and you don't have to go out and buy an off-road bike and all the riding gear to give it a try - we provide all of that!

Adventure motorcycing is a massively growing activity after the publicity it has received from Ewan and Charlie transversing the world, the Princes taking part in Enduro Africa and even Top Gear riding mopeds through Vietnam! Many riders are taking it one step further and learning to ride real off-road motorcycles over a wide variety of terrain such as mud, ruts, rocks and even through rivers - now you can be a part of it with TrailWorld!

Below is an overview of what you can expect to find in each section of this website - we hope you enjoy the site and it gives you some inspiration to give off-road motorcycling a try. Don't mix this up with Motocross or full on enduro riding, this is all about trail riding in the countryside and having a great experience with like-minded people.

In the TOURS section of this site, we show you how to get involved in trailbike riding without the expense of buying an off-road bike and all the protective clothing required. Tours are a great introduction to the off-road world but often, people are a little apprehensive or, perhaps did not realise, that this service exists in the UK.

The SCHOOLS page shows you what is available to you if you want to learn from the experts. Perhaps you are just getting in to off-road riding and want to learn the basics or maybe a trail rider looking to enhance your riding skills.

Our FEATURES pages are designed to help get you started in the world of off-road riding including helpful tips on buying all the necessary gear, preparing yourself for a tour, joining an off-road club or even entering your first enduro!

PLANNING AN ADVENTURE?

More and more people are venturing to more exotic locations on their motorcycles, or riding with an organised long distance tour company, but they do little in the way of training for such an adventure. Riding in locations such as the Philippines, Mongolia or Morocco presents a completely different riding challenge than cruising the back roads of England. The roads can be almost non-existent in places and you may be faced with riding on sand, mud and rocks, or may well be presented with a slippery climb or a water crossing! If you are not prepared, this can be pretty scary and could even spell an end to your adventure if you get it all wrong.

The key is simply good, professional training and experience on uneven terrain. This will make your planned adventure so much more fun as you will not be worrying so much about the terrain you are riding on, as you will already know how to tackle it!

A TrailWorld off-road training school is the ideal place to start and we have had many riders train with us for such an adventure. A guided off-road adventure trail tour, where you will be riding all day over various terrain, is also a great way to prepare for that 'Big Trip'
